I think I’ve decided I need to make one wool winter coat a year. Last year was the Closet Case Clare Coat and this year is this Butterick 6385. Read my contributor post at Fabric Mart here!

Pattern Description:Fitted coats have princess seams, back yoke with forward shoulder seams, two-piece sleeve, collar and pocket variations. A: Round collar. B:Pointed collar. C: Funnel neck.
Sizing: 6-14, 14-22 I sewed a 20
Difficulty: 2/easy
Fabric Used: Emerald Green Melton Wool from Fabric Mart
Does it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope? Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes
Likes: Funnel collar, princess seams, length, cup sizes
Dislikes: None
Pattern alterations or any design changes made: None
Would I sew it again? Probably not because I have so many coat patterns I stilll want to sew.
Would I recommend it to others? Definitely, great coat for a beginner.
