Pattern: McCalls 7774

Pattern Description: Loose-fitting pull over dresses have side pockets. C, D: Fitted dresses have gathers, side pockets, neckline and length variations, and back invisible zippers.

Sizing: 6-14, 14-22 I sewed a 18 (next time I’ll sew a 16 it was a tad loose in the bust)

Difficulty: 3/Advanced Beginner

Fabric Used: Floral Grid Burnout Woven from Fabric Mart Fabrics

Does it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope? Yes

Were the instructions easy to follow? I didn’t really follow them, but I think so.

Likes: fitted bodice, length, pockets

Dislikes: none

Pattern alterations or any design changes made: None

Would I sew it again? Yes, I’ve sewn view B and another version of view C already and I still want to sew views A & D.

Would I recommend it to others? Definitely, it’s a nice dress.

Conclusion: A great dress to show off an interesting print.

  1. This is a fabulous pattern for you….but the color in the floral…..WOW! It just pops on you!

And I have to say it again, but your shoes do this dress justice! I just want a peek at your shoe collection…I can’t wear heels anymore, but I’d love to see all the different colors and styles you have! 😉
