Black and Bronze Joggers - McCalls 7061
So call me a bandwagon-er but I'm ALL aboard the jogger train. They are comfy but still stylish, in the Sporty Spice sort of way. You can also customize them with color blocking the leg as I did, using a different color for the back leg or adding a side contrast stripe. Choosing a contrasting color for the leg and waist bands could also add a pop of color or try adding a pocket. The possibilities are endless! This is my second pair and they look quite a bit like my first pair though I used a different pattern. S2061 worked just fine for what I wanted but I had to make a few alterations. McCalls 7061 was closer to the finished product that I wanted as the legs were more tapered and it lacks the front pleats. I made the same alteration to the front leg as I did previously ( I really just eyeballed it this time) and sewed the two front leg pieces together first before assembling the pieces.I really like the metallic touch. Though I wish I had used a black waistband because I feel the bronze makes it look a little Wonder Woman-ish. Thankfully I will wear these with a long shirt so it shouldn't be seen. Although I may pull out my seam ripper and change it out. We'll see.Pattern: M7061Pattern Description:Close-fitting tops and dresses have sleeve bands.
