Floral on Stripes Maxi Dress - McCalls 6744

wpid-2015-08-26-07.41.13-1.jpg.jpegI've made and posted this dress before in a black aztec jersey here but I liked it so much I made it again. This time I made it out of this gorgeous lightweight rayon knit. This fabric is so light it almost feels like you're wearing nothing which is great for hot southern summer days. The high front slit helps with ventilation as well. LOL Seriously though if you're not comfortable showing leg or live in a breezy area it is imperative that you tack the front skirt piece to the back skirt piece a few inches down to prevent having a Marilyn Monroe incident while walking down the street.wpid-2015-08-26-07.40.56-1.jpg.jpegI actually made this dress months ago but just realized yesterday, when I wore it, that I had never blogged it. So here it is. I really love every view of M6744. Just this summer I have sewn every view except for View C. I may have time to whip one of those up before the temps drop to low.
