Red/Black Scatter Wrap Sweater - Vogue 9111 Again

I loved my Black and Gray Wrap Sweater so much that I made it again. I stuck with the same Vogue 9111 View B, but this time out of a red and black sweater knit from Hancock Fabrics. This colorway (as well as a blue/black and oatmeal/black) has sold out online but you may be able to find it locally in store. Luckily it is available in a Black/White and Black/Khaki/White online.sideThis sweater knit was heavier than the looser knit stripe fabric I used before so it has more of a winter weight feel. I love it just as much as the first! Read my pattern review here.side2My office's Christmas decorations offered the perfect backdrop for this sweater. I think I will wear this sweater on Christmas day as I always wear something red to feel Christmas-y.frontI still have one more version of this pattern to sew. I plan to follow Mimi G's tutorial on Micheal Levine's blog (here) to modify View B to a mini dress out of this sparkly sweater knit I purchased from Fabric Mart (sold out). This knit is on the thin (very stretchy) side so I'm not sure how it will turn out or if it will hold it shape, but I bought this fabric specifically with a this mini dress is mind so I'm going to go for it.back
