Coral Floral Girls Sundress: McCalls 7079
Not sure why I never got around to sharing this look, but better late than never. After first trying liverpool knit from Finch Fabrics to make McCalls 7046 I fell in love with it. Apparently so did Miss Socialite because she wanted to know when I was going to make her something with it. I can't blame here, what's not to love? It features great stretch and recovery, sews like a stable knit, has a textured right side and a smooth wrong side. When I originally ordered the blue floral liverpool knit it was a 2.5yd end of the bolt piece which was just enough for my dress. I tried to get crafty and pair the scraps from my dress with something in my stash to create a dress for her, but I couldn't make it work.Luckily I was able to order this coral floral liverpool knit as and end of the bolt piece as well. I decided on McCalls 7079 to give her a mini me version of my dress. View F was very similar to my dress with it's fitted bodice and full skirt so I chose it. This pattern was a very easy and quick sew.She loves the dress and I love that we coordinate in our twirly floral dresses.Pattern: McCalls 7079Pattern Description: Pullover dresses have back bodice and skirt variations, and raised waist.
