Sometimes two is better than one: Vogue 8738

Y'all know I love one pieces, dresses are my go to and jumpsuits aren't far behind, but I'm starting to warm up to separates. Sometimes they really do make more sense, like with this busy snakeskin print double brushed. It's a fun look all together, but separates will get more wear. Pattern: Vogue 8738Pattern Description:  Misses Top and Pants: Top A: Close-fitting with cut-in armholes. (Raw edges will show on upper back.) Top has cowl type front neckline and horizontal tuck section across upper back. Pants B: Loose-fitting with tapered leg, no side seams and elasticized waistband.Sizing:  4-10,12-18 I cut an 18Difficulty: 1-BeginnerFabric Used: Snakeskin print double brushed polyester knit from Fabric MartDoes it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope? YesWere the instructions easy to follow?  YesLikes: Quick sew, separates that look like a one piece.Dislikes:  The lack of finished measurements on the pattern. The raw finish on the back yoke is weird.Pattern alterations or any design changes made:  I finished the entire armhole with a narrow hem.Would I sew it again?  Yes, but I would sew a 16 if is I use a very stretchy knit like a DBP.Would I recommend it to others?  Yes, it's OOP but if you run across it, its a fun pattern.Conclusion:  Cute set that looks like a one piece.
