Pattern:

Based on how quickly I made the pattern again you can guess that I love it and you'd be right! If you've read about my first make of M8047 then you know this polka dot bodice was supposed to be the lining for that romper. I had already sewn up the bodice, so decided to use it for this second version. Thankfully I had more yardage of this fabric so I could make the pants view this time. I couldn't decide between the two pants views so I cut the wide leg (view 7) and figured I could trim off the extra length and add elastic once I was ready to hem if I preferred the jogger leg. The wide leg is more striking in this fabric so I kept them.M8047PDDance

Fabric:

This cream and black polka dot fabric is a rayon jersey I grabbed years ago from Fabric Mart during their pre-cut sale. This was from a 5yd cut. I knew it would sew up well as I previously used it for McCalls 7046. Because it's a rayon it has a bit of a slinky feel and is so comfortable to wear. It has awesome stretch and was a breeze to sew. The only drawback is it has a tendency to wrinkle.

Modifications:

I omitted to bodice lining (just like I did for my romper version) because I just don't think it's necessary. I did add the elastic this time due to the weight of these wide leg pants on the waist seam.M8047PDBack
