Spring/Early Summer 2022 plans
Though it's practically summer this post is about my Spring plans since the summer patterns haven't hit the shelves yet. There will likely be a summer plans board as well.

McCalls 8035
This maxi dress has been in my to sew pile since 2020, I believe, in the bag with the coral cotton guaze from Joann that I picked up around the same time. I don't know why it's taken me so long to make this (well I do, covid, moving, etc...) but I think this year will be the year. That pattern is already cut and ready to go so I just need to cut the fabric and get to sewing.
Closet Core Cielo
I've also had this pattern for a while, but after sewing up another view of this pattern last fall it's time to make this dress view. I think it will look great in this mustard yellow linen fabric I have in my stash.
Untitled Thoughts Mathidle
This dress is blank because I don't have a fabric picked out for this yet, but I recently wore one of my previous Mathilde dresses (here) and fell in love with it all over again. I just want another one even though I've made this pattern 3 times (second, third)
McCalls 8090
This is another repeat for me (see here). I didn't love my first M8090 make, but it grew on me and I wore it often. So it's time for another one. This time I'm using a gray dotted rayon fabric by Mimi G. I snagged this from Melanated Fabrics during their grand opening last year.
True Bias Zoey
I was a tester for this pattern (here) and I'm glad because this is a TNT tank and now I want to make the dress. I've had this African print inspired double brushed poly for a few years and I think it's a good pic for this fit and flare tank dress.
Simplicity 9550
I do have some new patterns in this bunch and Simplicity 9550 is Mimi G's latest. I love the idea of this short set and I think this Telio lemon print on sky blue rayon screams springtime!
McCalls 8154
I love this jumpsuit, but somehow I missed it when it was originally released. It reminds me of McCalls 8030 which I made and love, here, in jumpsuit form. This is another one where I'm unsure what fabric to use. My first thought is a lightweight denim chambray, but we'll see
McCalls 7936
This simple jumpsuit has been on my list for a few years mainly because the fabric choices are endless, print or solid, linen or challis or cotton. Well I've finally decided on a deep green stretch woven fabric that I think I snatched in LA from Michael Levine.
McCalls 8261
Lastly I know that this pattern is technically a sleepwear pattern, but I think it's a great simple jumpsuit/romper. I have another lemon print picked out for this because the vertical stripes play well with the length of the jumpsuit. I also want to make the robe in this pattern, but that will be for inside only.
That's it and honestly I doubt I'll get to it all. My eyes are always to big for my stomach (is that the saying?). Anyway, what do you want to make in the new month or so? Are you ready for the summer patterns to drop? Simplicity has already teased Mimi G and Madylnne patterns I think I want.
