A tee and a tank
I seem to have a color phase quite often where I unintentionally sew several pieces in the same color. I've had a few runs with navy, chartreuse, army green , red. However this is my first time with yellow, as it is a color I'm not typically drawn too.
I've already made Simplicity 9273 (see the full review here) and it's currently my favorite t-shirt pattern. So I had to make it again in this solid yellow double brushed poly knit that I grabbed as a remnant from Joann. SCORE!
This time I sewed view, the pleated sleeve view. This tee is comfy and cute, the sleeve detail give it a bit more interest than a basic tee.
I also whipped up another True Bias tank (full review) in another remnant from Joann. This yellow floral knit is a cotton jersey knit and I used some of the solid yellow DBP leftover from the tee as the straps.
The current temps make this tank the go-to out of the two tops for now. It pairs nicely with these navy shorts as as a pair of army green shorts I have.
