Handmade by Karly #002 Perfect Tee

When I saw Karly, of Handmade by Karly, was having a tester call for her new line of tops I quickly applied. So far the tube top has been released and this tee has just launched.

This tee is fully lined with gives the neckline a clean, band-less finish. The lining also is great in my opinion for white tees that can be transparent in certain knits. The sleeves are a little longer than short sleeves but I like that and they fit my big biceps so that is a win.

When you purchase this pattern you get more than just a pdf! Karly has setup the instructions almost in a course style manner which really walks you through step-by-step from downloading the files to hemming the top. I would highly recommend this for a beginner.

Fabric:

This striped fabric is the last of some double brushed poly I purchased long ago from either Fine Fabrics in Norcross or from FabricMart. (see a list of fabric stores here) It was previously used for the Freya Pants and McCalls 8047. I love stripes and I love black and white so I bought several yards years ago. I’m sure I’ll find some to replace it.

I used a lightweight jersey to line this as two layers of DBP would just be too hot for me to wear in the summer.
