Y'all voted, I made it! McCalls 7577
If you follow me on YouTube, you know that I picked up this blue geometric print peachskin polyester during Fabric Mart's $1/yd Precut fabric sale without a plan besides just not missing out on a great deal. I mean who couldn't pass up on four yards of fabric for $4?! This is a $4 jumpsuit, y'all!!!!When it arrived I loved the feel and weight and determined it should be a jumpsuit. Since I'd just purchased M7755 I was leaning towards it, but while going through my pinterest board I came across M7577. I was torn so I asked you all to chime in the comments of my Spring 2018 Plans video. And the viewers spoke....McCalls 7577!I've actually sewn M7577 before (here) but the romper (a mix of view A&B) , this time I wanted to make the jumpsuit (View D). The pattern was as simple as I remember it being. The instructions are clear and straightforward. The only changes I made was lengthening the bodice by 1" and subbing premade bias tape for the armhole bindings.I will admit that I find this jumpsuit a tad snug to get into. It happened with the previous version as well. I supposed I could go up a size but the bodice gaps as is (I have it pinned in the photos). Maybe I'm just used to knit jumpsuits like V9116 or B6330 that are easier to get into. That said it is not impossible, it just requires a little wiggling.I am very happy that I used this fabric for this project and I have since decided on another print for M7755 that was already in my stash.Pattern: McCalls M7577Pattern Description: Loose-fitting pull-on romper and jumpsuit have shaped back yoke, sleeve and length variations. YesWere the instructions easy to follow?
